WORTHY PARK

Brand Story

The family-run Worthy Park Estate was established in 1670, and started producing rum as early as 1741. Although it was a highly successful distillery, the glut of Jamaican rum after WW2 meant that it ceased production in the 1960s. It was completely rebuilt in 2004, by the Clarke family who have owned it since 1918, and focusses on tradiional Jamaican pot still rums. Every step of rum production is handled in house, from sugar cane cultivation on more than 4,000 acres of land, to processing the molasses and piping them over a kilometre to be distilled.
