Tilambic is a brand of rum from Mauritius that's aged for up to seven years and has a proof of 151, or 75.5% alcohol by volume (ABV). The name comes from the Creole word for the stills used by farmers to make rum. The rum is made from molasses, distilled in columns, and aged in oak barrels. It has an amber color and is described as having intense flavors of dried fruits and spices. Some say it has notes of prunes, chocolates, figs, anise, and vanilla on the nose, and stone dried fruits, anise, vanilla, and natural spices on the palate.
