Dark Matter Spiced Rum is a molasses-based rum from Scotland's first rum distillery, Dark Matter Distillers, in Aberdeenshire. It's made by brothers Jim and John Ewan, and former New York rum distiller Cory Mason, using fresh ingredients and spices from around the world. Some say the rum has a full body and flavors of ginger, peppercorn, allspice, and caramel, with aromas of ginger cake. Others describe it as punchy, slightly sweet, and not too cloyingly sweet.
